Monitorius is a young company that takes geomonitoring to a higher level. Monitorius tackles natural hazards with a unique combination of state-of-the-art monitoring, AI-supported data analysis and intuitive reporting to make timely warnings significantly more accurate.
Above all, Monitorius is the first to combine two scientific fields that together take geomonitoring to the next level.
Our story
The idea for Monitorius arose from a crucial insight: A reliable forecast of certain natural hazards requires more than just monitoring the subsurface. It requires a deep understanding of the complex interaction between the earth and the atmosphere. In 2025, meteorologist Judith Käfer and geologist Marc Ostermann combined their decades of experience in science and practice to close this gap.
They recognized that existing solutions often work in isolation from one another and thus do not provide a complete picture of the current situation.
Driven by a shared vision of creating an integrated solution, they founded Monitorius. Their goal was to develop a platform that combines geological stability and meteorological triggers in one intelligent system.
The result was a geomonitoring approach that not only measures what is happening, but also provides accurate predictions of what could happen—and contributes to reliable safety and timely protective action by presenting data in an understandable way.

We aim to become the leading provider of intelligent geomonitoring in Europe. Our vision is a future in which critical decisions to protect people and infrastructure are no longer made in a reactive manner, but proactively on the basis of accurate forecasts.
We want to redefine the standard for risk analysis by breaking down the boundaries between geology and meteorology.
Through the seamless integration of state-of-the-art sensor technology and artificial intelligence-supported analysis, we are creating an early warning system that makes complex relationships understandable and enables our customers to act safely and proactively at all times.
